How to Make Gulab Jamun Using Bread???



            Can you name any person who doesn’t like sweets? If indeed there is someone, which is very very rare, they ought to be removed from Human Being list. Just Joking. Everyone loves sweets. In India there are so many varieties of sweets, that it will take lifelong to taste each one of them.

                They differ from State to State and City to City. Simply you can’t resist eating those sweets. I am a sweet lover. I will eat all types of sweets. No exceptions. If you ask me what is your favorite sweet, I’ll say, even in my sleep, that it’s Gulab Jamun. I can even say its King of Sweets.

                 The round and soft balls, with or without jeera (sugar syrup) I simply dig it till everything disappears in my mouth. I hope everyone agrees to that. In this recipe I have tried using bread as Core ingredients. It turns our good attempt and I didn’t feel so much difference in taste.
                 
                    It is easy to prepare with very much items available in our kitchen. I guarantee you won’t regret your decision of making the sweet and soft Bread Gulab Jamun. Happy Eating !!!!!!

Ingredients:


5 No.           bread slices
½ cup          Sugar
2 No.           Cardamom pods/Elachi
½ cup          Milk
10 No.         Cashews
Pinch of       Salt
Oil               as Required


Method:


  • Cut all the bread crust, and shred the bread into finer pieces [Image 1]. Your hands should do fine. No need of blenders it will make it too finer. Roast the Cashews in ghee/oil of your choice and roughly crush it.
  • Take the shredded bread and add 1 table spoon of milk with salt and knead it. Add one spoon of milk at a time so that your dough won’t become soggy.
  • After adding second spoonful of milk add the crushed cashews and continue the kneading. We are looking for chapatti dough like consistency.[Image 2]
  • Now, make smaller balls of same size from the bread dough. Heat oil in pan and once it’s hot, deep fry the balls until the golden brown color appears. [Image 3]



  • Meanwhile, take the sugar and melt in a pan with ½ cup of water with cardamom pods. And let it simmer to reach the syrup consistency. Then turn off the heat.
  • Once the frying balls reaches the color of desired, take it off the pan drain the excess oil with tissue paper on a plate, and put the balls in the sugar syrup. Let it soak for at least an hour before serve.
  • You will find roasted cashews in each bite will take you to the next level of Joy. Give your friends and families a surprise treat with this Bread Gulab Jamun.
